CD-3 (3") Pre-Waxed Cotton Wick

The CD-3 wick is a tiny-but-mighty wick, slightly larger than the CD-2, and excellent for tealights and small votive candles. It’s pre-waxed and tabbed, so it’s beginner-friendly – just set it in your container and you’re ready to pour. Use CD-3 for those small candles where you need a bit more flame strength while still keeping an even burn.

• Recommended Jar Diameter: Approximately 0.5″–1″ diameter vessels. This wick is best for very small containers like tealight molds and mini candle jars, ensuring they melt evenly without tunneling.

• Maximum Jar Height: 3″ length is suitable for candles up to ~2.5″ tall. This covers most tealight cups and small votive holders – you’ll have enough wick to trim and maintain a safe burn.

• Wax Compatibility: CD-3 wicks perform well in soy, paraffin, and blended waxes. Their flat braided cotton design with paper threads ensures good capillary action, even with natural soy wax which can be harder to melt.

• Flame & Burn Performance: Burns with a steady, small flame appropriate for tiny candles. The self-trimming wick design minimizes carbon buildup, so you get very little mushrooming or soot during burns. You’ll enjoy a clean burn and a nice melt pool even in petite candles.

Usage Instructions: Center the CD-3 wick in your empty container and secure it with a wick sticker or dab of wax. Make sure it stays straight while you pour in your melted candle wax. Once the candle has set, trim the wick to ~1/4″ before lighting. It’s always wise to test burn a new candle – if your candle tunnels or the flame is too weak, you may need to try a larger wick next time. With proper placement and trimming, the CD-3 will give your small candles a beautiful, even burn.
