The CD-5 wick is a slightly larger cotton wick for small-to-medium candles, filling the gap between CD-4 and CD-6. It’s pre-waxed and tabbed, ready to use, which is great for beginners. Choose CD-5 for candles in small jars or tins around 2 inches in diameter where you want a bit more flame to achieve a complete melt pool.

• Recommended Jar Diameter: ~1.75″–2.0″ container diameter. This wick size is ideal for small tins or jars in the 2-inch range – think of those little candle tins or mason jars that need a touch more heat to burn evenly.

• Maximum Jar Height: 3″ length is suitable for candles up to about 2.5″ tall. It will comfortably handle the height of small travel tins and short jars, with extra length for trimming to the proper 1/4″ before lighting.

• Wax Compatibility: CD-5 wicks work nicely with both soy-based waxes and traditional paraffin. Their construction allows for consistent fuel draw in viscous waxes, so you get an even burn whether you’re using pure soy, a soy blend, or paraffin wax.
